Frequently asked questions
Which rotation do I need?
90° clockwise fixes a video shot sideways (portrait phone held wrong), 270° is the same fix in the opposite direction, and 180° flips an upside-down video right-side up. If you’re not sure, try 90° first and watch the preview.
Does my video leave my device?
Never. The rotation (a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg, loaded unmodified from a CDN) runs entirely on your device. Your file is processed locally and is never uploaded to any server.
Is rotating video really free? Any watermark?
Yes — 100% free with no signup and no watermark, and there are no limits on how many videos you rotate (files up to 500 MB are supported). Your rotated video downloads straight to your device, ready to post.
Does rotating reduce quality?
The video is re-encoded to apply the rotation, but at a high default quality the difference is invisible in practice. Your audio track is copied untouched, so the sound is bit-for-bit identical.
Can I flip a video horizontally (mirror)?
This tool rotates only — 90°, 180° or 270°. A mirror/flip effect isn’t included.
Which video formats can I upload?
MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV and most common video formats work. Files up to 500 MB are supported.
